Bonnington road was a large project covering three multi-story apartment buildings which totalled 460 apartments with various other amenities like a gym, co-working space and rooftop terrace. For PFP this job was large undertaking with both partitions and ceilings packages being handled primarily by PFP with the addition of ames taping and decoration packages beginning and being handled by PFP as the project progressed.

This project brings much needed rental properties to the Scottish capital while also revitalizing an older area of Edinburgh with a new modern design. Through out the project PFP have installed more than 290,000 m² of plaster board across all 3 buildings used for both walls and ceilings. Due to the large amounts of plasterboard being installed, plaster board waste became the biggest challenge for PFP. To combat this we undertook full plasterboard recycling with waste skips being swapped weekly to ensure that housekeeping standards were upheld and waste materials were not building up.  

Montrose terrace project located in a corner plot on Montrose Terrace and West Norton Place in Edinburgh’s Abbeyhill area brings much needed high quality student accommodation with Edinburgh’s growing student population. The project provided 149 high quality students studios and cluster flats with a range of amenities for example the gym and rooftop dining area. Care was taken through out the project to match the appearance of the building that originally stood there and the surrounding buildings while also giving the building a few modern touches to enhance the outer appearance of the building.

The Mayfield Road project was split into 2 phases; in each phase of the construction a modular five-story student accommodation building was constructed. Between these two buildings there are 257 rooms available to house students this is a prime location for students located directly opposite the university of Edinburgh’s king’s buildings campus.

One of the challenges faced was storage of materials and plant interface Due to the lacking space around the building a 150-meter stretch of the main road was enclosed within the site to use for material lay down when delivering to site. All materials had to be taken into and stored within the building. Through out the building PFP have installed a range of British gypsum partitions and suspended ceilings additionally tile and grid ceilings were installed in corridors and halls.
